Kevin Skeet is a highly experienced operator, responsible for leading and directing the operations function across Legacy Hotels’ diverse portfolio of both branded and unbranded hotels. With a proven track record of success, he combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership to drive operational excellence.
Prior to joining Legacy Hotels, Kevin was the General Manager at the Macdonald Burlington Hotel, Birmingham. During his tenure, he oversaw the comprehensive £11 million transformation of the iconic Midland Hotel on New Street, reimagining it as The Burlington Hotel. This ambitious two-year redevelopment project included the successful launch of Berlioz Restaurant & Bar, which established a strong presence in Birmingham’s highly competitive city centre dining scene.
Before his time at Macdonald Hotels, Kevin worked with Hortons’ Estate, managing West Midland Taverns, a division encompassing 22 city centre bars and restaurants. His portfolio included prominent establishments such as Bacchus Bar and Epernay, renowned for their quality and innovation in the Birmingham hospitality market.
Kevin’s expertise extends beyond hotel and restaurant operations. As a graduate of the prestigious Champagne Academy, Kevin was the Midlands Chairman for some 17 years and was also national Chairman in 2017. Kevin is a respected figure in the world of Champagne and continues to play an active role in this exclusive network, enhancing his reputation within the wider industry.
