Legacy Hotels & Resorts was incorporated in Spring 2005 by the shareholders and principal directors that continue to operate the business today.
Our business commenced trading in September 2005 with the acquisition of three former Corus Hotels for £18.5 million and two further management agreements for hotels formerly managed by Macdonald Hotels.
Established as a hotel company management solution to provide scale and flexibility to challenge the offer from that provided by the brands and larger investment funded alternatives – Legacy remains fiercely proud of its independence and privately owned positioning in the marketplace.
Since its establishment, Legacy has operated and supported some 100 plus hotels and leisure assets across the UK, Jersey, Southern Spain, North Macedonia, and Sweden representing a little over 6,500 guestrooms.
Now widely recognised as one of the UK’s leading third-party management companies Legacy has built a solid and proven reputation across the investor, banking, and advisory community as both a hotel operator and developer of internationally branded assets and independently positioned properties.
The equity in the business is 80% owned by Andy Townsend and Jim Gordon with the balance owned by Haider Jaffer a fellow director, client, and investor.
