CALUM COLQUHOUN

With regional operational responsibility – Calum supports the planning, delivery and on-boarding of new operational assets, refurbishments, and new build openings.

Calum joined Legacy Hotels & Resorts Limited in 2019 and is a highly experienced operator, having successful general manager / regional manager roles with the likes of Forte Hotels, Macdonald Hotels, Best Western GB and De Vere Group. These roles have encompassed everything from new hotel openings, large scale refurbishment projects, city centre properties to large, diverse resort hotels.

Calum’s motivation is successful business change – ensuring that the sales philosophy, the people, and the operational viability of the building all knit together and produce the highest possible return for the various owner groups.

Calum works with all stakeholders to successfully get traction on various projects, to include;

• Operational responsibility for 3 hotels
• Leading the ESG project for the group, bringing together experts in the field to produce an ESG strategy and action plan which is being rolled out across all hotels, with a clear commercial and sustainable focus
• Overseeing Property Maintenance/compliance, Health and Safety, Allergens, Fire Life Safety – contracts, policies, audits, training and external support for the group
• Supporting both new-build and capital expenditure projects as required, working directly with Legacy team, specialist suppliers and contractors
